Our Story
Secrettaart is the lifelong dream of Chef Patricia Marques, whose passion for pastry began in Angola and blossomed through her years in Holland. Gifted with a natural talent for baking, Patricia pursued formal training at multiple pastry schools, mastering sugar work, cake design, chocolate artistry, and more — all driven by her dream of becoming a renowned pastry chef and inspired daily by her son, Marcello, her “North Star.”
In 2016, Patricia brought her vision to the UK, determined to share her unique creations with the British public. She went on to work in respected restaurants, operate a kiosk in one of Newcastle’s busiest malls, and later run a successful patisserie shop at The Stack — all while continuously refining her skills with top chefs and investing in her growth.
Today, Secrettaart stands as a celebration of craftsmanship, flavour, and love. Each macaron, chocolate, praline box, and bespoke cake is handmade with care, creativity, and the joy of imagining the customer’s smile. Patricia also dedicates her time to supporting cancer research and local community initiatives — a reflection of her warm spirit and belief that food should bring happiness to others.
