Our Story
Baked Bird® didn’t start as a business—it started as a craving. A craving for chicken wings that tasted epic but didn’t leave you feeling heavy and guilty afterwards. What began as a weekend habit of making wings for friends slowly turned into an obsession: “There has to be a way to get all the flavour without frying.”
That curiosity led the founders on a food-driven adventure across East Asia. There, they discovered new cooking techniques, lighter approaches to comfort food, and layer upon layer of bold flavour. When they returned home, the experimenting began—late nights, flour-covered counters, batches of wings that were either too soft or too dry… until one day the magic happened.
The Baked-Not-Fried wing was born.
Crispy on the outside, juicy inside, seasoned with 13 herbs and spices, and glazed in home-made sauces that hit all the right notes. Friends loved it. Family asked for more. And slowly a simple kitchen experiment grew into a food truck, then two, then three.
Fast forward to today, and Baked Bird® has served 50+ tonnes of wings at some of the UK’s biggest festivals and events. What never changed is the mission:
