Newcastle's Christmas Market returns 19 November to 23 December 2026, spread across Grey Street, Grainger Street, Grey's Monument, Old Eldon Square and Nelson Street in the city centre. It's one of the North East's biggest festive markets, with traders returning across the whole stretch of the city's historic grade-I-listed street.
Opening hours
Monday to Saturday: 10am - 8pm. Sunday: 10am - 5pm. Entry is free throughout.
What's there
Expect the usual mix of festive food and drink stalls — mulled wine, street food, hot chocolate — alongside gift and craft traders spread along Grey Street's sweeping Georgian curve, one of the most photographed streets in the UK at Christmas.
Getting there
Grey Street and Grainger Street sit right in the heart of Newcastle city centre, a short walk from Newcastle Central station and well served by the Metro.
